Free Virtual Forums on Latino Men's Health: Spotlighting Cancer, an Unanswered Burden

2025 Forums from The Latino Cancer Institute exploring Latino male health,
cancer prevention, survivorship and actionable insights.

Why Latino Men — And Why Now

Cancer remains the second leading cause of death for Latinos. They're more likely to be diagnosed with prostate, colorectal, liver, and testicular cancers—often at later stages. Latino men power the U.S. workforce, contributing to a $4.1 trillion Latino economic engine and representing nearly one in five U.S. workers. Yet cancer threatens that stability. Each year, cancer deaths among working-age Hispanic adults cost an estimated $8.8 billion in lost productivity. Disparities are widening. Screening gaps persist. Silence remains a barrier. These trends represent missed opportunities—not inevitabilities.

Our 2025 Forum Series Response

Across three Forums, TLCI convened leading researchers, healthcare professionals, survivors, and community advocates to explore the complex intersection of culture, biology, and environment in Latino men's cancer outcomes and to identify actionable solutions.
