The California Cancer Care Equity Act has officially passed the California legislature and been signed into law by Gov. Newsom. This law widens access to optimal cancer care for more Californians than ever before – especially those historically underserved in the state – building on the promise of the Cancer Patients Bill of Rights resolution passed just one year ago.

For patients with cancer, access equals life, and this bill helps more Californians seek optimal care tailored to their particular cancer diagnosis. This legislation will help more of the Californians who hear “you have cancer” have the best shot at beating it
