Dr. Noah Merin is a hematologist/oncologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center specializing in leukemia and allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

Since beginning his work at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Hospital, Dr. Merin has focused on improving leukemia treatment for Latino patients. Recognizing the high burden of disease in this community, he has contributed to clinical trials aimed at developing better treatments and improving access to care.

About half of Dr. Merin’s patients are Spanish-speaking, giving him firsthand insight into the support Latino patients and families need while navigating complex cancer treatment. His work has also included efforts to simplify care processes so patients can move more quickly and efficiently through treatment.

Dr. Merin completed his medical training at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Hospital, where he began the work that would shape his commitment to Latino cancer care.

Dr. Merin presented at TLCI’s 2024 Friday Forum, Genetic Findings Driving Blood Cancer in Latinos, where he discussed raising awareness of leukemia in Latino communities and improving access to life-saving treatments.
