Understanding what shapes cancer outcomes is only the beginning. The final Forum in TLCI’s 2026 series turns toward action—and the people, knowledge, and resources needed to create change.
Join community advocates, researchers, clinicians, and health leaders for conversations about civic engagement, community-informed data, environmental advocacy, and the cancer-care workforce. Featured speakers include Ruben Mesa, MD, president and executive director of Atrium Health Levine Cancer and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center; Liz Hurtado of Moms Clean Air Force; Maria Bonilla of the UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute (LPPI); and Wendy Johansson, co-founder of MiSalud, among others.
Together, they will explore how communities and institutions can help shape healthier environments, strengthen the cancer workforce, and improve cancer outcomes for Latinos.
