Bridging the Gap: CHCI Summit Tackles Latina Healthcare Disparities

“Screening Gaps: Understanding the Impact on Latina Health” is the opening panel discussion at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s (CHCI) 2024 Issue Summit on May 7-8 in Washington, DC. This year’s summit addresses topics that significantly impact the Latino community including health, leadership, workforce, economic empowerment, and technology.

On Tuesday, May 7, Ysabel Duron, Founder of The Latino Cancer Institute, will moderate a panel with a welcome from Representative Linda T. Sánchez (CA-38). Experts in the healthcare field will explore practical solutions to overcome barriers and bridge the gap in healthcare access between Latina patients and medical providers among other issues.

The discussion will spotlight best practices aimed at transforming outcomes, addressing disparities, and improving access and trust for Latina women within healthcare settings. Join us as we delve into this critical issue and work towards equitable healthcare for all.
