The Latino Cancer Institute’s 5th Annual National Virtual Forum in 9 Days!

Coming up in just 9 days, join us and our expert presenters as we share insights and new findings on climate change, environmental racism driven by bad policy, and how disparate climate factors exacerbate the Latino cancer burden.
We are thrilled that during The Latino Cancer Institute’s 5th Annual National Forum, Congressman Joaquin Castro, from San Antonio, Texas will be answering questions from you!
Congressman Castro was diagnosed with gastrointestinal neuroendocrine cancer after a literal run-in with a wild boar. Earlier this year, he had surgery to remove his tumors and is receiving ongoing care, but he knows that he is fortunate to have high-quality health insurance, when many of his constituents do not.
Congressman Castro was born in San Antonio, Texas and is a second generation Mexican American. Now in his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Joaquin is a tireless advocate for those who call San Antonio home. Joaquin has a BA in political science and communications from Stanford University, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
